How do I clean my milking machine?
It is very important to clean and disinfect your milking equipment every day to avoid bacteria in your milk. There are 3 steps to disinfect your equipment. 1) Water rinse (warm water is better to dissolve the fat, solids and grease) 2) Use an alkaline and acid rinse (One-Step CIP Detergent): The ratio is 1 Oz per gallon of water. 3) Sanitize (Chlorine): 6 Gallon bucket = 1.2 Oz Chlorine (Clorox) 8 Gallon Bucket = 1.6 Oz Chlorine (Clorox) 11 Gallon Bucket = 2.2 Oz Chlorine (Clorox) Our ONE STEP CIP DETERGENT will save you 2 steps. The cleaner has the properties for a standard acid and chlor-alkaline. You can use a wide and deep enough container to submerge your milking cluster in the water with the detergent and turn on your vacuum pump. Water will travel thru your liners and milk hose to the milking bucket in a closed cleaning system.
